Main Railroad Station Building
Beograd, Savski trg 2
Built in 1884, at the site of a field in former “Bara/Pond Venecija”. It was projected and built on the ideas of the Viennese architect fon Liht and following designs by Dragutin Milutinovic. For its times it was a successful achievement, both in its classical style as in the organization of space. It is on Sava’s Square, and has Roman numbers on its facade that witness the year of its construction: MDCCCLXXXIV.
